Year 11 Geography Trip - Leysdown Beach
Mr Moye sent this report:
On Friday, 30 September our Year 11 geographers headed down to Leysdown to collect fieldwork data for their investigation into coastal protection.
Some of the new rock armour at the site cost close to £1 million when it was put into place and formed a significant focus for our students’ investigative efforts. They will be writing up and processing the results this week.
Throughout the day, many of the locals were pleasantly surprised by our 120 Year 11 students and their questionnaires! Their answers were invaluable to our students’ investigations and we wish to thank them for all of their patience.
To top off a wonderful day of sunshine, our students settled down in the afternoon to enjoy the bargain fish and chips avaliable along the coast!
Well done to everyone on their fantastic work and outstanding behaviour throughout the day. We look forward to seeing what results your investigations have gathered.
