Promoting British Values

The Department for Education has recently published guidance on promoting the values of democracy; the rule of law; individual liberty; and respect and tolerance for other religions. We are fully committed to implementing these values through our curriculum and in all aspects of our school life. We recognise that these values are not exclusively British, or that in Britain we successful uphold them all of the time. However, we do believe that these values are fundamental to what it means to be a ‘good’ human being and as such it is absolutely essential that our students accept, promote and act out these values if they are to leave school fully prepared for life in modern Britain and make a successful contribution to our Society.
