World Book Day 2024
Mr Sealy and Mr Tillbrook sent this report about the day’s celebrations:
On Thursday, 7 March, we ushered in World Book Day 2024 with a bang as students set to work decorating their form room doors to reflect some of their favourite reads from over the years.
From childhood favourites, like The Very Hungry Catepillar, to modern day murder mysteries, including the ever popular A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, our classroom doors looked brighter and more inviting than ever. With such high quality decorating work on display, it was impossible for our panel of judges to decide on a winner so, like all good competitions, we’ve decided to open it up to a public vote. Please use the link here to select your winner for this year.
This year also saw a new activity enter the field in the form of the ‘For old time’s bake’ competition which asked students to capture one of their reading memories in edible form. Congratulations to Jemima in 10N who came out on top with her “book stack” inspired bake. Well done to all entrants!
