Prefect Profile - Avani, Curie 1
Name: Avani
Role: Deputy Head Prefect
Subjects Studied: Maths, Economics, Government & Politics
Favourite Book: A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
Favourite Film: Kuch Kuch Hota Hai- it’s a Bollywood film about a love triangle and I can confidently say I have watched it enough times to know all the dialogue at this point. I watch it at least a few times a year!
Hobbies: one of my favourite things to do is spending time with my friends- it’s always a fun time. I also like to go to the gym and go on morning walks.
Favourite Food: Burritos are definitely one of my top foods.
Favourite Holiday destination: my top holiday destinations have to be Italy or India. Both places have such interesting culture and most importantly such nice warm weather which is a must for me on holiday.
What is the most challenging thing you have achieved so far? I would say it’s a tie between getting selected for the World School trip and also going through the prefect selection process because both were quite new and out of my comfort zone but were very rewarding processes so I’m glad I put myself forward for them.
Why did you want to become a Prefect? I wanted to become a prefect so that I could use my platform to voice what Invicta students want to see happening in and around school and, so that I can firsthand help to implement these ideas because I really want to make their Invicta experience a time that they’ll look back on fondly in the years to come.
What are your plans when you leave Invicta? After my time at Invicta, I hope to go on to pursue a degree in relation with Economics and International Relations at university.
And, finally, what special memories do you have of your time, so far, at Invicta? Out of the many, two particularly come to mind for me. One is definitely my World School trip to Japan which was an unforgettable experience and one I still can’t quite believe I had the opportunity to go on! The unique traditions I was able to be a part of, wonderful people I got to meet and the friendships I was able to form in such a short time, was one of my top highlights for sure. Another special memory of my time at Invicta has got to be the RAG weeks throughout the years; each year has been so fun and entertaining, and I love the excitement of planning the different matching outfits to wear with my friends.
