A Level Results Day 2022

Invicta Grammar School’s A Level students achieve not only the best set of A Level results in the school's history, but the best in Maidstone. This year's results are also comparable to those achieved by some of the most selective schools in Kent and amongst the results collected by The Times, Invicta placed 42nd nationally.

Invicta is thrilled for their students’ futures once again, as Year 13 students achieved superb results with 81% of all grades being A*, A or B grades this year. More than half of all grades are A* or A grades and a fifth of all grades are A* grades.

These grades reflect the dedication and hard work of our students and staff. We are especially proud of this cohort, as they were able to achieve these wonderful results despite the COVID disruptions. During lockdown we were able to run a fully live online learning experience meaning that no students had to miss even one day of their learning. The students’ commitment to taking full advantage of this has really paid off. This cohort of students have shown huge resilience and persistence in maintaining their focus and extremely high levels of work ethic during these incredibly challenging years. Our examination results are an apt reflection of this parental confidence.

Out of over 530 examination entries, 108 A* grades were achieved, accounting for 20% of all grades, an exceptional achievement.

This year, we are delighted that over three quarters of all our Year 13 students achieved A* to B grade in two or more facilitating subjects. This is a remarkable achievement which has provided life-changing opportunities for more of our students than ever before to access the Russell Group universities.

We are also delighted to report that the following students have successfully secured Oxford, Cambridge or Medicine places.

Stefany Nizamova – Computer Science at Cambridge University
Layla Sarakbi – Medicine at Oxford University
Patricia Britto – Medicine at Queen Mary University of London

It is incredible to be able to acknowledge that 52 students, just under a third of the entire cohort, achieved straight A*/A grades across their subjects. This is a phenomenal achievement and a credit to their hard work and determination over the last seven years of their studies.

Van Beales, Headteacher, commented “I am extremely proud and excited about the wonderful futures for our students, given the outstanding examination results that they have achieved this year. Our mission is to give students the best life choices and this cohort of students will go places with these A level results. This is testament to the hard work of our fine young people who strive to be the best that they can be, and to the dedicated teachers who inspired and supported them. I am also grateful for the invaluable support of our parents. I am proud of our partnership which has greatly benefited our hard-working students.”

“Our students have yet again risen to the challenge of combining their own academic achievement with charitable work, to not only give themselves the best possible opportunities moving forward, but also to improve the lives of others in their local, national and international communities. This year, Invicta students raised over £30,000 for charity.”

The school is delighted with notable achievements of the following students who obtained at least three A* grades.

Dylan Elks – 4 A*
Stefany Nizamova – 4 A*
Layla Sarakbi – 4 A*
Akriti Rai – 4 A*
Grace Jim – 3 A* and 1 A
Eleanor Ruler – 3 A* and 1 A
Kiu Yan Shuen – 3 A* and 1 A
Lucy Rayner-Thomas – 3 A*
Claudia Turner – 3 A*
Imaan Awan – 3 A*

At Invicta, we value the enrichment and personal development of our students. Our Extended Project Qualification results are testament to the fact that our students thrive on the opportunities they have through our curriculum, to develop their independent study in preparation for university and life-long learning.

Eighteen students completed the Extended Project Qualification and from this 20.6% achieved an A* grade. This is an amazing achievement which aptly endorses Invicta’s commitment to developing well rounded students.

We held a celebration in the afternoon of results day for students and their families to come together, see below for photos.
