Year 7 ASPIRE Evening 2024
On Monday, 5 February, Year 7 students were invited to attend the Aspire Evening 2024. This fun evening event included an informative talk from Mrs Oliver and Dr Marchesini outlining some of the provision we have to stretch and challenge our students, both within each subject area and beyond the curriculum boundaries. Year 7 students and their parents were particularly impressed by our two student speakers, Lilly T from Year 7 and Tijesunimi F-A from Year 13 who spoke about their time at Invicta and the activities they have taken part in to develop their character, friendships and knowledge.
The second part of the evening was an informal and entertaining carousel of activities in the Izatt Building. Year 7 students worked with their parents to complete a range of different challenges; some based on particular subjects and some that developed other skills, such as creativity and critical thinking.
The Aspire Activities continued for the rest of the week, with a variety of challenges and tasks set instead of our usual homework activities throughout the week.
