The Ms.Empowered Collection
Last week, on International Women’s Day the slogan was #PressForProgress; Invicta students wanted to contribute and make a difference.
They did…
For women, the hardest thing about being homeless is being a female.
Every month, homeless women are put into a crisis situation – having to decide between food and basic hygiene.
In an effort to help, Invicta held the Ms.Empowered Collection. All week, students have been donating sanitary products, which will be distributed via local charities to those who cannot afford them. The initiative is a key part of Ms.Empowered; an empowerment programme aimed at young women in secondary school.
I have been in awe of the students’ generosity this week, and their enthusiasm in creating awareness of the cause. I can only hope they have felt empowered in doing so.
The theme of the week, ‘Leadership’, certainly seems fitting. Being a leader, means inspiring and leading change, something Invicta students once again proved they could do.
I am grateful to Invicta for, as always, ‘Pressing for Progress’ and inspiring success!
