Year 7 Settle In To Life at Invicta
As we approach the end of Week 2, it is difficult to imagine that it was only a few, short days ago that our new Year 7 students were settling in to their lessons here at Invicta. It has been wonderful to hear how many are already so comfortable with their new school.
One student, Keira in 7S, gave us these thoughts on her first day here at Invicta:
'My first day of Invicta Grammar school in Year 7 was amazing! I felt rather nervous about learning in a huge school with so many other pupils but once I stepped in the building, I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to explore the wide variety of wonderful subjects and enjoy the new opportunities that I knew would stretch me and help me to be the best I can be!
The environment in my form made me feel so welcome and I started talking to everyone else straight away. My first lessons were History, Spanish; DT – I loved all of them! The teachers were very understanding that we were all still finding our way around the school and getting used to how everything works. When I went home with a wide smile across my face, I wondered if my second day would be as awesome as the first. It was!'
