Year 9 and 10 Netball Tournament

On Tuesday, 29 November, the Year 9 and 10 Invicta Netball Teams played in a tournament against 10 schools from across Maidstone.

After a flying start, winning every game across both years, it all came down to the final matches as the decider for the tournament.

Year 9 managed to pull through with impressive teamwork and game strategy to take first place for the Year 9 matches.

Year 10 were winning 2-0 in the final match against MGGS however MGGS pulled out an impressive effort to finish with a score of 10-8 in their favour in the end. It was a very close match and, this time, the play unfortunately didn’t go our way.

Overall it was a very fun day for both years. Thank you to the PE department and especially Miss Abbott, for organising the event and for umpiring on the day! Out students and those from across Maidstone all had a wonderful time. Girls, well done on some extremely hard fought matches!
