Museology
Poppy-Rose in Colvin 1 sent this report:
On Monday, the MMF launched Museology, which is a series of mini lectures for humanities students in partnership with the Maidstone Museum. The first two of the talks was by Lakesha in 7I, who informed us about the Ta-Kush mummified remains currently housed in Maidstone Museum.
Next, Hannah in Frank 1 delivered a talk on witchcraft in the Tudor era and left everyone shocked by the torture methods used to extract a confession from suspected witches.
Thank you to our marvellous first speakers and to everyone else who attended! Museology will be hosted after school every Monday in the Sixth Form Common Room.
Next week’s lectures will be on ‘The History of Dragons in Literature’ and ‘Sigmund Freud and his crazy theories’ so make sure to come along!
