World Book Day 2023

Mr Tillbrook sent this report: 

World Book Day 2023 was welcomed with open arms (and doors) by the students at Invicta on Thursday, 2 March as they set about decorating their form room doors with displays inspired by their favourite books.

The canteen was also suitably decorated for the occasion as the Foodie Group, represented by 

Anna in 8T, can tell you: 

Alongside Cucina, our school catering team, the Foodie Group created World Book Day themed foods for the school. It was a huge success and we received many positive comments on the foods. Students said that “the designs and the presentation were really impressive!”, all of the food was very popular and sold out very quickly. 

Foods included: 

- Turkish Delight (Chronicles of Narnia)

- The Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Kebab

- Snozzcumber Juice (The BFG) 

- Paddington’s Marmalade Sandwiches  

- Pop Cakes (The Magic Faraway Tree) 

- Queen of Hearts’ Strawberry Tarts 

- Trunchbull’s Chocolate Cake 

- Harry Potter Butterbeer
