DT Disney Paris Conference
After travelling on the ferry, we arrived at the hotel just in time for dinner. We all enjoyed the food, after we overcame the language barrier, and set off to bed excited for the day to come. The buffet style breakfast gave us all a taste of France with a selection of pastries, breads and cereals. It was then time to head onto the coach. DISNEY HERE WE COME!!!
After arriving and promptly getting through security we headed to the studios for a full day of fun. After a quick picture, we split off to enjoy the thrilling roller coasters and rides, the characters and shows, all of which blew us away. After a long but very exciting day at the park, we headed to Disney Village (however a few were behind schedule) where we all enjoyed a buffet style, Tex-Mex dinner with Mickey style deserts which where heavily enjoyed. This was followed by a hectic but enjoyable shopping experience with souvenirs varying from a giant Stitch to key rings and magnets, leaving us all exhausted and ready to head back to the hotel for a good nights sleep.
Once again, breakfast didn’t disappoint, leaving us ready and energised for the conference. We arrived with enough time to spare, which can’t be said for the two other schools, but once they arrived we got to hear from some amazing speakers, learning about the engineering behind rollercoasters and thrill rides, the 18 month process of producing Disney souvenirs, and how materials can be used to change a life. After some quick questions, the conference came to an end and we headed to the park for a photo in front of the castle and another day full of fun. Many more rides were enjoyed and the parades certainly didn’t disappoint however after the search for food we were more than pleased.
After a somewhat stressful search to meet the group we found a great spot to enjoy the illuminations by the end of which our arms were aching from the incredible photos and videos we captured. We then headed back to the coach with a quick stop at the world of Disney to pick up a few final souvenirs. Once back at the hotel, we prepared for our final night and due to the exhausting but amazing days we had, many quickly fell asleep. After a, once again, delicious breakfast, we cleared our rooms and set off to the port where we managed to catch an early ferry, reflected upon in our amazing trip and looked forward to reuniting with our family.
