Year 8 Rounders Tournament

On Tuesday, 6 June the Invicta Rounders Club (and a few honourary members) competed in a rounders tournament at MGGS. The team was made up of Kaety, Lillibeth, Ella, Sofia, Eva, and Samina in 8I as well as Harmony in 8C, Mel in 8C, and Alice in 8G. 

We were off to a great start winning the first match against Valley and quickly adapted our positions to our strengths throughout the matches which the power duo Kaety (as backstop) and Ella (as first base) stumping people output regularly.

Samina was second and easily stumped many people whilst Harmony was deep fielding and caught many balls. 

Our team faced some tough matches throughout the competition however we remained undefeated by the end of the tournament with the team successfully stumping a whole team out at one point! 

Because of this spectacular performance, and our hard work in the rest of our games, we came first place and had a lot of fun along the way. Well done to all of the team you fought hard to take first place!
