Year 7 - Induction Events

Year 7 have had such a busy start to their time at Invicta Grammar, the first term has flown by, with events including the information evening, open morning as well as a fantastic Team Building event and Headteacher Tea.
On a windy afternoon Year 7 were able to spend some time getting to know each other better during our team building event. Cone ball, balloon towers, river crossings and hula challenges were the tasks of the day. The students impressed us with their excellent communication skills, perseverance and resilience and provided a little entertainment along the way. The wind added extra challenge on the second day and led to some impressive sprints. 7V came out victorious winning the most challenges and earning valuable house points.
Our final event this term was our Headteacher Tea, students invited teachers from their primary school to come and explore the school with them and we were delighted to host teachers from 29 different schools. Students loved showing off their work and how well they knew their new school and the teachers were so impressed with how grown up they all were. Of course, the tea and cake added an extra special touch to the afternoon which was enjoyed by all. We can’t wait to see what Term 2 has in store.
