U13 Kent FA Football Tournament
Mr Homes sent this report:
On Monday, 13 November Invicta U13s took on last year’s finalists, Meopham School.
After a tough first half full of plenty of opportunities, Meopham went in 1-0 up. In the second half however, Invicta came back fighting and thanks to Chiddi in 8V scoring two long range strikes. There was a lot of defending to be done after that however, after a lot of pushing Meopham were able to get the second goal to equalize. After that, Meopham had attack after attack, with the defence holding out strong carrying the team to the full-time whistle and penalty shootout.
Unfortunately, Invicta lost the shootout despite a wonder save from Sylvia in 8N, meaning we have now been eliminated from the cup until next year. There was a lot of standout performances and the coach of the Meopham stated that Invicta were their hardest opponents since last year's final.
A match to be proud of, and all the more reason for the girls to hold their heads high!
