Year 9 Netball Tournament, Kent
Ella in 9I sent this report:
On Thursday, 9 November the Year 9 Invicta Netball team had the opportunity to compete at a Kent netball tournament at Rainham School for Girls. We were put into a group for us to play on and off games in the morning and afternoon. Our first match was against Sutton Valence and we drew this game 4-4. Although we were losing in the first half, we made a strong comeback in the second.
Our next match we were back as strong against Rainham Girls and won 5-1! Our last game in the morning was against Benenden school, we unfortunately lost but played very well as a team. After a lunch break, we played against Colfes School and won this game 7-3!
Next up was TWGGS, they were a very good team and we unfortunately lost this game, despite this loss we kept improving and working great as a team. With this improvement we went on to beat Highworth Grammar School 10-2 and Blackheath 7-1.
Our final match of the day was against Sevenoaks and although we lost this game we played very well. We came 3rd overall in our group, which although it was not enough to move on to the final everyone was very proud of what we achieved, and the team really improved as the tournament progressed.
Everyone was really positive throughout the day and now look forward to hopefully progressing further in the tournament next year.
