A-Level Certificate Collection Evening 2023

On Wednesday, 3 January 2024 we welcomed back last year’s Year 13 students for their A-Level Certificate Collection event. We were pleased to see so many students coming back into the school and it was so lovely to hear their stories about their university courses, how they were finding living away from home, the friendships they have made, the responsibilities they have taken on, the jobs that they have started in the ‘real world’ amongst many other stories shared. It was good to see the connections of school were still strong not only with students sharing events and seeking guidance or advice from their teachers but also with their friendships. Many students are still in touch with their friends from Invicta and were sharing Christmas presents and planning to meet up as well as catching up with others that they perhaps did not see as much since school. The event was very well attended and opportunities were taken to visit classrooms or areas around the school that held fond memories and the reminiscing was wonderful to see and hear. It was particularly poignant when one former student slowed down before they left as they wanted to take it all in as it was likely to be their last visit!
We would like to also remind students that they can join the Invicta alumni and to please keep in touch as we all love to hear the stories of the next steps in their lives and we are always here if advice or support is needed.
