Prefect Profile - Olivia, Colvin 2
Name: Olivia
Role: Head Prefect
Subjects Studied: Biology, Chemistry and Maths
Favourite Book: The Hunger Games
Favourite Film: Don’t Worry Darling, it’s definitely one of those films I could watch over and over again. The ending is ambiguous, many questions are left unanswered and I like that it gets me thinking (and Harry Styles is my favourite singer so that makes it even better!)
Hobbies: I have many hobbies which keep me very busy! I play netball every Tuesday evening, my position is goal keeper. I love music and enjoy singing, and I perform in house band and choir during school concerts which is really fun. I also enjoy being around animals and spend a lot of my time working on a farm.
Favourite Food: Sweet chilli chicken but it’s always changing!
Favourite Holiday destination: Anywhere on a cruise! I love exploring so many new places in one week and the ships themselves are full of exciting things to do!
What is the most challenging thing you have achieved so far? My trip to Nepal was very challenging as it pushed me out of my comfort zone with the variety of new experiences and activities. The trip was very student led so it made us all very independent as we had to be responsible for ourselves!! However, it was great fun and a great achievement knowing everything I did when I was there.
Why did you want to become a Prefect? I wanted the opportunity to make positive change within the school community and ensure that younger students get the most out of their time at Invicta just like I have!
What are your plans when you leave Invicta? I am very fond of animals and would value a career where I can help them, so I plan to study veterinary medicine at university. I also love travelling so it would be great if I could work abroad at some point as a vet. However, I am still not 100% sure what field I want to go into within veterinary medicine so I will see where the future takes me!
And, finally, what special memories do you have of your time, so far, at Invicta? I have so many special memories of my every day life at Invicta but I have been really lucky to go on a quite a few school trips during my time here and I will always look back on these with fond memories with my friends.
