Big Bang National Science Fair - Finalists

We are proud to announce that four Year 8 students have been selected as finalists in the Big Bang National Science Fair competition.
The finalists are:
Lakesha - ‘App to support people with autism’
Ameesha - ‘Robot to tackle beach plastic‘
Betsy - ‘Accessible travel: is AI the future?’
Taliah - ‘The Autistic Brain in Social Situations’
As well as being finalists in their age categories, 2 of the projects are finalists for other awards. Betsy has been nominated for two special awards: The Civil Aviation Authority Future in Aviation Award and The Network Rail Innovation in Transport Award. She has been working hard to prepare for her presentations to Network Rail and the Civil Aviation Authority in the coming weeks.
Taliah has also been nominated for The Big Bang UK Young Scientist of the Year. She has been working hard to prepare for the VIP judging and sharing her project to teacher panels at school, showing excellent prowess and dedication to her project.
We want to congratulate and celebrate everyone who has taken part in the competition this year and look forward to taking the finalists to the Big Bang competition at the NEC on 19 June. All finalists and information about the competition can be found on the Big Bang website.
