Barbados - Saturday, 14 October - Arrival Day
At 6.45am on a mild October morning, 11 excited students met Miss Abbott and Miss Palmer outside school to begin their journey to Barbados. After a quick ride to Gatwick (thank you Miss Vincent!), we checked in with plenty of time spare to grab some food and do a bit of duty free shopping. A small delay once on the plane didn't change the girl's excitement and, just before 12pm, we were off!
The flight went well (although the first four hours seemed like forever!), with lots of in-flight movies and complimentary drinks, food and snacks consumed (shout out to Virgin Airways for the free 'Fab' lollies!) We finally landed at around 4pm local time, and met our Inspire Sport rep, Angelina, at the airport.
Once at our hotel, the girls had a bit of time to sort themselves out and then it was dinner time. We chose a restaurant called Mojos - just a two minute walk down the road from the hotel. The food was great and the girls enjoyed listening to the reggae music that was playing! Full-bellied and weary-eyed, we wandered back to the hotel for a much-needed sleep!
