House and Charity Round-Up 2021-2022

Charity Round-Up 2021-2022

Invicta students are very proud of all the fund-raising work that takes place and we are pleased to announce that last year we raised £28952.77 for our various charitiable causes, a fantastic achievement. Thank you to everyone who organised or took part in a charity event, this money really makes a difference to people’s lives.

In addition to the House charities, the Sixth Form students select a number of local charities who will benefit from the RAG fundraising activities that take place during RAG week – more details will follow from Mrs Skelton.

If you would like to organise a charity event for your Year charity, House charity or any other particular charity please ask your Form Charity Representative to contact Mrs LeSbriel with the details.

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Friday, 23 September

We are delighted to announce that the first fundraising event of the year will be the Macmillan Coffee Morning which will take place on Friday, 23 September. More details will follow soon!

House System

There are 8 Houses named after inspirational female role models. Each House is led by a member of staff (Head of House) and a Year 13 House Prefect. Each form elects a House representative to help organise and promote House events and competitions. Each House has a colour, a mascot and a House charity. Students wear a House badge to indicate which House they belong to. This is part of the uniform and must be worn on the left lapel (Years 7-11) or on the lanyard (Sixth Form).

Houses run competitions and fund-raising events to raise money for their chosen charity throughout the year.

The 8 Houses compete for three House Shields, and we are delighted to report that last year’s winners were Bronte (House Charity shield), Colvin (House Rewards shield) and Curie (House Sports shield).

This table shows the outline of the 8 Houses and last year’s charities, these may change this year.
