Prefect Profile - Adriel, Bronte 1
Name: Adriel
Role: Senior Prefect
Subjects Studied: Maths, Computer Science, Physics, English
Favourite Book: Probably the Percy Jackson series, which I read back in Year 8.
Favourite Film: I don’t really watch films.
Hobbies: I watch football. I sometimes practice guitar but it really depends on the day.
Favourite Food: I’d have to say Akonfem, which is fried guinea fowl and yam.
Favourite Holiday destination: Definitely Ghana, it’s not even close.
What is the most challenging thing you have achieved so far? At Invicta? Definitely the Prefect Hustings. I still remember the hours I spent pacing around trying to think of my speeches, what to say, how to say it, whether it was long or short enough. A challenge, but one I thoroughly enjoyed.
Why did you want to become a Prefect? I love competition. So the thought of competing against others in the group task and hustings; along with being able to give back to the school through service was the perfect opportunity.
What are your plans when you leave Invicta? After Invicta, I plan to go to university and study Law. I would like to become a barrister, and maybe branch into politics at some point.
And, finally, what special memories do you have of your time, so far, at Invicta? I really can’t choose one. The sheer amount of fun and enjoyment I’ve had with my friends over this year cannot faithfully be condensed into simply one or two moments.
