Invicta Vlogs
The concept of ‘pride’ is something that we constantly refer to at Invicta.
The concept of ‘pride’ is something that we constantly refer to at Invicta. I often ask students and staff to think about being ‘positive, proud and professional’. These attributes are, I believe, an essential pre-requisite for life. We need to look at things positively to ensure that we make the most of the opportunities and challenges we are presented with. We must also consider the elements of professionalism, if we are to be respected and appreciated by others. By doing this, we are more likely to be proud of how well we are received and of what we achieve.
So, it was with enormous pride that I stood and looked back at how our students and staff ‘showcased’ Invicta at our 11+ Open Evening this week. I saw so many smiley faces and animated students and staff talking eloquently about their school - with such a sense of pride, positivity and professionalism. I could not have asked for anything more. I also witnessed this in the choir piece and the students’ presentations on Thursday. Students were genuinely thrilled to be part of the evening; their sense of pride was undoubtedly visible, along with their enjoyment. To say, that I was proud is an understatement. It is these qualities that I know Invicta instills in our students and staff. I want every member of our school community to be happy and fulfilled. This was certainly endorsed throughout the course of the evening. I am therefore looking forward to welcoming back our visitors to the 11+ Open Mornings this week. It is important to showcase our school, but it is equally imperative for a prospective student or parent to see the school working as a purposeful, professional and positive environment. I have no doubt that they will see this!
As an additional indicator to this, I was also thrilled this weekend to be able to attend one of our students’ fundraising events for their World Challenge project. Alice did a superb job and I was extremely proud of her professionalism and positive outlook in raising over £1000 – what an amazing achievement!
