Welcome to the Digital Leaders
Welcome to the Digital Leaders
Welcome to the first Invicta Student Blog. At Invicta Grammar School, we recognise the importance of the use of technology but also the fact that support for students, parents and staff is required. As such, we have assembled a new task force to help tackle some of these key issues. This team of students, known as our Digital Leaders, currently consists of students from Years 7, 8 and 9. Their role will be crucial within the school and it is intended that they will help support all those that need it with regards to technology.
The Digital Leaders will focus on three main areas and these are e-Safety, training for staff and students, research and evaluation of appropriate apps to help support teaching and learning. They have all received an in-depth training session which was delivered by a fully qualified Apple Teacher. During this session, our ‘leaders’ considered their key responsibilities and worked on producing and developing appropriate resources to make others aware of who they are and what they intend to do.
The Digital Leaders will regularly be adding to this ‘Student Blog’. This will be a space where they will be able to explore and promote many of the areas that they believe need to be considered by students, staff and most importantly parents. It will also allow them an opportunity to report on recent events in school that they believe are important for all stakeholders to be made aware of.
If you follow our school Twitter feed, then I am certain that you will have seen many of the excellent Tweets that have been posted recently on behalf of the Digital Leaders. This enables students to be able to develop their Student Voice and inform others of the excellent work that is taking place at Invicta Grammar School. If you would like to follow our Twitter feed, then please look for @invictagrammar.
We do hope that you find the Digital Leaders’ Tweets and Blogs of interest and we all look forward to seeing how their ideas and input develop over time.
