Battle of Britain Memorial - Photography Prize

Emily in 7V was awarded top prize in the Young Photographer’s Competition at the Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne.

Her winning photo, which wowed the judges with the different angles that she chose to use, has since been turned into a postcard for the memorial and can be found for sale in both their shop and their online store. Emily was awarded with a framed copy of her print along with her winner’s certificate at an award ceremony by Trustee of the Site Barry Duffield and Becca Collier-Cook, a professional photography, at the memorial itself.

Emily’s photograph will now serve as a poignant reminder of the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the Second World War and will continue to help raise awareness for this historic monument for years to come.
