A Level PE - Velodrome Visit

On Tuesday, 6 December, the A Level PE classes visited the Lee Valley Velodrome in the Olympic Park where they were offered the rare opportunity to ride on the track itself.
Although anxious at first, everyone started to get the hang of it, until Emma fell into the side of the track and slid down to the bottom! Thankfully, she was okay though and we all carried on for the rest of the session, with many of us making it to the top of the course.
When the session ended, our legs were certainly aching!
Despite a badly navigated walk back across London and a somewhat eventful Tube journey, we made it back to the minibus and, finally, to school.
We all had such a great time, and felt a lot of satisfaction for facing our fears by cycling up an incredibly steep slope!
