Year 9 Art Textiles - Tate Modern
Omi in 9C and Layla in 9G had this to say about their trip to the Tate Modern:
Omi: On Thursday, 17 November we visited the Tate Modern gallery. I really enjoyed the trip as it was really interesting to see the artwork we will be learning about.
My favourite pieces were the canvases that people had created as a community, as each one of them told their own story of a local area.
They were all written by individual people and I felt like I could connect with the person who wrote it just by reading it.
Layla: The trip to the Tate Modern was a very good trip. I enjoyed looking around the different gallery rooms and seeing many different people’s artwork.
I personally really liked the Maria Bartuszova exhibition and would like to include some of her pieces in my future work as she really inspired me.
Thank you to Mrs Warner and all of the other staff members who helped organise and run the trip, we had a fantastic time!
