Sea Cadets Challenge
Anna in 8T sent this report:
The Sea Cadets Competition was informative and lots of fun. We started off by learning a little bit about the Sea Cadets and the job of an engineer.
Then we built a prototype of a boat, using modelling clay to find out which shape would hold the most marbles and still float. After testing a lot of techniques and designing our boat, we finally got on to building it, using one piece of A4 card, a piece of tinfoil and two long pieces of tape.
It was a lot of fun to make the boat and test how many marbles it could hold. In the end, my partner and I were able to build a boat that could hold 146 marbles without sinking and we won the competition!
