GCSE Awards Evening

On Wednesday, 25 January Year 12 students and their families attended the school for the GCSE prize giving evening. It was wonderful to see so many students attending, both those still with us in Year 12 and those that have moved to other schools, and to see how proud their families and teachers are of their achievements.

Zara in Colvin 2 and Sathi in Austen 2 gave a fantastic speech highlighting the experiences of the year group since Year 7. Hearing the positive words from Mr Salsbury and Mrs Le Sbriel added to the atmosphere of the evening, highlighting just how hard all the year group had worked towards their GCSEs. 

Many students commented on the speech given by ex student, Yael May, which was both interesting to hear what she has been involved in but also very thought provoking for all who attended, particularly those interested in STEM careers. 

It was a very positive, celebratory evening that our students and their families thoroughly deserved.
