Year 10 - Walk, Eat, Talk Trip
Megan in 10S sent this report:
When we arrived in London, we were greeted by our tour guides and split into two groups.
Firstly, we began by walking to an Indian food shop and trying a variety of samosas with a sweet treat at the end! We then tried some chocolate from a lady from Ghana which was lovely! Thirdly, we went to a family-run bagel shop and enjoyed a salted beef, mustard and pickle bagel. Towards the end of the tour we were eating some tasty pumpkin doughnuts when a lovely elderly man came up to us and explained more about the history of the area.
Finally, we grabbed some Boba from a local café; the boba was honey peach tea and apple popping boba. We then made our way to Spitalfields market to have a look around, before jumping on the coach home. We all had a fabulous time!
All the foods we tried linked to our culture topic and how different foods originate from different countries because of their staple foods, culture groups and ethnicity. Thank you for the lovely trip.
