Invicta welcomed friends from our partner primary schools for the first InvicMUN Conference 2016
This morning, Wednesday 3 February, Invicta welcomed friends from our partner primary schools for the first InvicMUN Conference 2016. Within a matter of minutes the hall had been transformed into the UN General Assembly and there was great excitement about what the outcome of the morning would be. Debating on the right to clean water and sanitation, students amazed with their knowledge of their countries’ political standing on this issue and impressed both their teachers and older Invicta students with their captivating speeches on their proposed amendments. By integrating our primary school guests with our own lower school students, it created an absorbing atmosphere of cooperation with delegations working productively together to produce a resolution that would benefit all member countries. The resolution, after many amendments proposed by the delegations, passed through the General Assembly with a majority of three and was a great exercise to inspire younger students to participate in politics.
