2016 Greece - Day 1

Greece Day One

After a very early start for us all, we got on our coach (at 4 in the morning) and headed for Heathrow. After successfully checking in 36 of us for the flight, and getting through security, with only a few of us needing to be X-rayed, we were allowed to explore duty free. Once we had bought enough chocolate to feed a small army, we went to the gate and took a shuttle to the plane. The flight was 4 hours long, complete with an on flight breakfast. After landing in Athens, we boarded the coach to Tolo, stopping at the Corinth Canal en route. The canal was beautiful, and a real feat of engineering. We soon arrived at the seaside resort of Tolo, where we all got settled into our rooms and explored the town where we found many ice cream parlours, much to our delight. We had our dinner, complete with lots of chips, pasta and other lovely food, and retired to bed, ready for a busy day the next day.
